Yoga is an ancient practice of exercises and breathing to improve body and mind.  Highly recommended to improve our mental and physical health - enabling us to take responsibility and control our own health thus hopefully reducing our need for medication.

Exercises are tailored for each our individual needs and capabilities. We may have a mix of chair-based and floor-based classes taught by a professionally qualified instructor who can assess our needs and capabilities. all ages and abilities welcome - absolute beginners and more experienced people.

A series of 4 or 5 week courses of Mat based Yoga to be run by a fully qualified Yoga teacher Roz.  She will continue to get members fit and flexible with both chair and mat based exercises carefully selected to suit the mixed ability group. Salutation to the Wind and Salutation to the Sun get more practice as do the muscle strengthening and balance exercises required to complete them. Very invigorating and followed by coffee nearby if you wish to join in.

Yoga is a great way to gently exercise, keep or get fit and keep those joints flexible as we become more mature.  NO running is involved but you will get warm.  If you have a Yoga Mat bring it with you as loan mats may not be available.  Comfy loose clothing is essential unless you are looking to overhaul your wardrobe by wearing tight clothing and ripping a seam or two!  Payment for the 4 week course will be required up front (cash or credit card - £34.00 in total = £8.50/session.  5 week courses are charged for 5 sessions £42.50)  There will be no refunds or credits for missed sessions as we have to pay the tutor whatever. PRE-BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL

Group meetings: usually 4/5 weekly sessions for one month in-person meetings in our u3a meeting rooms.
