Events

Our main monthly meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month at Brunswick Hall, just off Northumberland Street in the City Centre. They are by far our most popular event every month. Everyone is welcome, including prospective new members. Doors open at 1:15pm with refreshments and a time to meet old and new friends, The Guest Speaker's presentation is from 2.00pm to 3.00pm.

Prospective Members are welcome to attend one meeting before joining. But please let Val, our Membership Secretary, know in advance so that she can arrange someone to meet and welcome you: Membership Secretary (email contact)

Newcastle u3a Group meetings

North East u3a Regional Events

Newcastle u3a members may join any of the special events and activities organised by the North East Region u3a, including visits to places of interest across the North East. There is also a bi-annual Regional Quiz night and an annual Golf competition. The full list of current regional events can be seen here.

National Free Online Events

Nationally, the u3a's Third Age Trust delivers an annual programme of free talks, workshops and courses on a variety of topics from creative writing and meditation to science and history, usually accessible by Zoom. The full list of current free national events can be seen here.
