Group Name: Modern Jazz.
Group aims: To enjoy meeting, listening to, and chatting about jazz music .
We have had a very kind offer from one of our members who enjoys listening to Modern Jazz (for example, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Cannonball Adderley) and he would love to share his passion by leading this new group.
Group members choose their favourite tracks to share and listen to (using Spotify and CD/DVD) and to discuss their merits. It is a great opportunity to recommend different artists or tracks to each other. Of course, no prior knowledge is required. It is a chance to try something new, and you are very welcome to come along and just listen.
Group meetings: usually monthly in-person meetings in our Newcastle u3a meeting room no.3 (our newly refurbished room, with comfortable armchairs and an informal layout, which will be a very relaxing environment for this group! The maximum group size is 12 people)
