Group name: Storytellers.
Group aims: To meet once a month and enjoy sharing stories in good company in pleasant surroundings over tea and biscuits.
Do you enjoy writing, telling or listening to a good story? Then this group is for you.
There is one meeting a month and we aim to hear four or five stories at each meeting. So, whilst everyone might not have a turn at telling a story at every meeting, it won’t be long until their turn comes round again. After each story is told there is always time set aside for others to comment and discuss it.
The stories can be something members have written themselves, or a favourite by a published author: perhaps a short story or a chapter of a novel. Members may even choose to tell a story without anything written down: perhaps something from their own lives. The word limit for all the stories is 3,000 words, or about 20 minutes.
Group meetings: usually monthly in-person meetings in the Armstrong Room at Adamson House.
