Group name: Quiz.
Group aims: To meet and quiz for fun in good company and convivial surroundings.
Questions are based on general knowledge and cover a wide variety of subjects. It is a fun informal chance to meet up and increase our knowledge! Heckling and mayhem are encouraged.
We usually split in to two teams. Each player in turn is asked a question worth 2 points but if unsure can confer with team mates to answer for 1 point. So its quite forgiving and nice to confer as a team.
Group meetings: usually monthly in-person meetings (Zoom not available) in our u3a Meeting Rooms.
Occasionally we also enter teams in to the u3a Regional Quiz events. All our members are welcome to volunteer to be on our teams regardless of ability. Its a bit more serious with no chattering but with team mates, tea and cakes to enjoy.
