Group name: Poetry Writing.
Group aims: To meet and enjoy writing poetry and reading it together in pleasant company and surroundings.
Led by Bob Heyman, who won first prize in the 2025 u3a Regional Poetry Competition, this group is for anyone who writes or would like to write their own poetry. The format is to meet once a month to read our poems, explain the thinking behind them, and share encouraging feedback. In the future, we may collate some of our work for online publication, with author consent - possibly an anthology of poetry of the third age.
Everyone is welcome. No prior experience required, just a willingness to have a go!
Group meetings: Currently meetings are being held on the first Monday of the month. But please note there will be no meeting in July.
More information: Please contact our Group Leader, Bob Heyman, by email above.
