Group name: Historical Humour.
Group aims: To meet, share and enjoy the humour from radio, tv, books in good company.
Concentrating on British humour from 1920s through to 2000s. TV, radio, films, books? Watching, listening, reading, laughing with, and discussing classics like Dad's Army (TV & radio), The Goon Show (radio & TV), The Young Ones, Father Ted, Blackadder, Round the Horn, Steptoe & Son, Carry On films, The Clitheroe Kid, Old Harry's Game, Terry Pratchet discworld series, The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy, the choice is almost infinate.
Members suggest materials and we select a broad range to suite all tastes. All welcome. No prior knowledge, skills, or experience needed. Just a willingness to smirk, chortle, laugh out loud! Yep .... laughter is the best medicine.
Group meetings: usually monthly in-person meetings in our Newcastle u3a meeting rooms.
