Group aims: to meet and enjoy discussing a book which has been chosen previously by a member. No prior knowledge, skills, or experience are needed. This is a friendly, informal group which meets in a comfortable, relaxed room. Newcomers are always welcome, even if you would just like to sit and listen.

Each month, the member who recommended it introduces the book and gives a brief information about the author. Many of our recent books have been novels, but biographies, factual, etc, are all also discussed. A full list of the 9 books we considered in 2025 is provided below as an indication of the wide range of books we look at each month.

Group Meetings: usually monthly in-person and with an attendance by Zoom option available in our Newcastle u3a meeting rooms. .
