Group aims: To meet and enjoy playing this famous board game. All welcome from beginner to expert. No previous knowledge or experience needed. We are a friendly informal bunch.
Deceptively simple, with only 16 pieces for each player battling on an 8x8 board, yet so much variety and strategy. Will your king be check-mated and lose his head? Will one of your your humble pawns be crowned a queen? Please come along and have a go.
