We view the 1981 BBC version Shakespeare's 1603 Othello starring Anthony Hopkins, Bob Hoskins, Penelope Wilton, David Yelland and Rosemary Leach. Othello, The Duke of Venice is convinced by someone that his wife Desdemona of being unfaithful. A great tragic event unfolds about jealously, race, and power. The phrase “Green-eyed Monster” first appears, one of many invented or introduced by The Bard. All welcome for an informal viewing and chat.
