Group Name: Local History Past and Present.
Group aims: To meet and enjoy talking about all aspects of history around Tyneside and the Great North East. All welcome. No prior knowledge, skills, or experience needed. Just a willingness to enjoy an informal chat.
Members are encouraged to suggest topics and make short introductions to get us all chatting, reminiscing, laughing. We've already done childhood toys, Andrew's liver salts - a local company. Member's own experiences and memories are particularly important and welcomed.
Group meetings: Usually monthly in-person meetings in our Newcastle u3a meeting rooms and with occasional visits out to places interest. Please also see our sister group "Walking Through Time".
