Group name: Scrabble.
Group aims: to meet together and enjoy playing Scrabble in good company and pleasant surroundings
Scrabble was invented in 1938 by an American Alfred Butts, It is word game for 2 or more players. Scoring points by placing letter tiles which spell words onto aboard of 15x15 grid of squares. The words placed form a crossword-like structure.
All welcome to join this friendly group. No prior knowledge, skill, or experience is needed. Our members will help you with gentle guidance to get you started. Come and test your wordsmithing!
Group meetings: usually monthly in-person meetings (Zoom not available) in our u3a meeting rooms.
