Group name: Poetry Appreciation.

Group aims: to meet and enjoy poetry together in good company and convivial surroundings. 

We take a different topic each month and look at different poets' thoughts relating to it through group contribution and participation, together with the specialist leader's guidance. We meet for friendship, the joy of words, and tea & biscuits.

All welcome. No prior knowledge, skills, or is needed. Please come and speak, read, or just listen for pleasure.

Group events: usually in-person & Zoom meetings (hybrid), usually 1300-1430pm, 3rd Thursday monthly, Newcastle u3a meeting rooms. Occasional trips out.  Refreshments available.
