Group name: Pilates 1.
Group aims: to meet and enjoy pilates exercises together.
Pilates is a mind-body exercise system with simple routines to gently work our brain, organs, muscles, joints, tendons, and ligaments. Similar techniques to yoga, stretching, etc. This class is led by a professional teacher. The intention being that you can learn skills and routines to practice at home and in your daily lives. All welcome, no previous knowledge or experience required - just an interest being being stronger, fitter, and healthier.
This new group run by Mark.. Pilates emphasizes core strength, which includes muscles of the abdomen, lower back, hips, and buttocks. The exercises are typically performed in a controlled manner with an emphasis on proper breathing techniques and smooth, flowing movements. Additionally, Pilates exercises are low-impact and can be modified to suit individuals of different fitness levels and abilities, making it suitable for rehabilitation and injury prevention.
Group events: in-person meetings, 1015-1115 Wednesdays, monthly 4/5 week courses, in our Pink Lane meeting rooms.
